Helen Leavey

Helen Leavey has been a journalist for more than two decades and worked for the BBC in Taiwan and London. She also lived in Beijing for many years, where she endeavoured to learn Mandarin, brought up her children and worked in human rights. Originally from the south of England, Helen now lives in the northern county of Yorkshire where she's written books, made short films and created the podcast Voices from Herriot Country.
