Mario Calabresi has spent over 25 years working as a journalist. He started his career as a political reporter for ANSA (Italian news agency) in the Italian Parliament. In 2000 he moved to the political desk of La Repubblica for 1 year and then made the move to La Stampa in Rome where he covered political as well as international issues. He spent two months in New York covering the aftermath of the 9/11 attacks. After this he again joined La Repubblica but now in the role of Deputy Managing Director.
