Evergrande Health Industry links up with Harvard teaching hospital on hospital design and management

Evergrande Health Industry has entered into a legally binding strategic collaboration agreement with a teaching hospital of Harvard Medical School to develop hospital projects in mainland China.

The unit of Evergrande Real Estate, controlled by property tycoon Hui Ka-yin, said Brigham and Women’s Health Care would provide the company with strategic guidance on various aspects such as hospital design, clinical and hospital management and staff training. The agreement also included providing assistance in the development of collaborative hospital projects and the planning of medical care networks and health-care-service models for other health-care-related projects, Evergrande said in a filing to the Hong Kong stock exchange on Tuesday.

Brigham and Women’s Hospital is a charitable corporation under Brigham, which says it is an important teaching hospital of Harvard Medical School.

Brigham and Women’s Hospital is consistently ranked among America’s top 10 hospitals by US News and World Report, the filing said, with many specialties also ranked in the top 10.
