I agree, the government should take a lead to offer more childcare services because finding a good maid is very difficult.

Some mums do not really want to rejoin the workforce for one reason or another. It is in fact better for children to be looked after by their own mums. Besides, not all industries are short of staff. There are other ways to resolve the problems.

Also increase retirement age to keep existing workforce.

Will be [a] big help to young parents. More families need two incomes to get by these days.

What's with this obsession with moms joining the workforce?

Yes. It might also help to alleviate the low birth-rate issue.
