The European Union should go down on their knees and thank US President Donald Trump for walking out on the Iran nuclear deal, the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action agreed upon by the US, China, Russia and the “EU three” (“Donald Trump says US will withdraw from ‘rotten’ Iranian deal”, May 8).
It obviously needed a little shock therapy from the White House for the Europeans to unite more than they would ever do on their own (“Britain, France and Germany agree support for Iran nuclear deal”, April 30).

What that means is, no harm done Mr Trump. You just sent a solid reminder, if one were needed, to the Europeans – on who commands and who has to obey.
