It was good to see Yonden Lhatoo’s piece, “Exposing the deep liberal media bias against Trump” (February 24).
It was a very welcome acknowledgement of the relentless, unreserved attacks and extremely offensive language directed at the president of the United States in mainstream media on TV and in print in the US, and parroted across western Europe.
The South China Morning Post is not immune to reprinting articles from the American press, and Mr Lhatoo himself has been, more often than not, very critical.

The bias began immediately after Donald Trump’s surprise election win in 2016 and likely will continue through his term as president.
The media’s extension of its hate to his supporters is even more disturbing. Over the last two years there hasn’t been a single entertainment event where popular personalities did not take time to deride the president in the most vile terms, as happened last Sunday at the Oscars.
I am yet to read a positive opinion or report about the American president in The New York Times or hear a complimentary comment on any of the major TV networks.
