Letters | How coronavirus in Hong Kong has hit 2021 DSE students as well
Over the past months, most of us have had online lessons, which calls for self-discipline and diligence. Google Classroom or Zoom helped, but we lost a world of practice opportunities.
Form Five, the last year that we can thoroughly enjoy our secondary school life as we have to focus on coursework during Form Six, is almost over. No school meant a whole range of inter-class competitions or outings had to be cancelled.
This year’s Form Six students faced more challenges and stress than other cohorts. Understandably their needs, voices and interests garnered the most media attention and responses from the Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority.

Robots check body temperatures as Hong Kong’s university entrance exams go ahead amid pandemic
But what about us – the “2021 DSErs” who were less visibly but also profoundly affected by the pandemic. We have lost four months of standard schooling and are going to sit the university entrance exams in less than a years’ time.
The examination timetable for the 2021 HKDSE has been released. Get prepared, my cohort.
