The obituary of Prince Philip (“Philip was the queen’s ‘strength and stay’”, April 10) referred to three trips he made to Hong Kong.

Well, there was at least one further trip to Hong Kong, in March 1981 when he opened the Prince Philip Dental Hospital in the city, on which occasion I, along with other dental academics from the University of Hong Kong, met him. May he rest in peace.

The omission of mention in your obituary of the Prince Philip Dental Hospital is surprising, all the more so given that it houses the University of Hong Kong’s Faculty of Dentistry, which is ranked third among the world’s dental schools by the QS World University Rankings 2021, and which had been No 1 in the world for three successive years during the past decade.
