My granddaughter in the Dominican Republic, my son in Colombia and many of my friends in England have, or have had, Covid-19. Are they or any of their family members or friends particularly concerned? It appears not.

In Hong Kong, we seem completely out of sync with most of the world. The 7.30pm TVB news throws the latest Covid-19 figures at viewers. In a recent interview with the Post, incoming chief executive John Lee Ka-chiu said he would counter fearmongering. He was referring to foreign critics, but let’s hope he includes his own officials and the band of “experts” behind which the present administration has hidden to justify its policies.
Lee also said he was looking at interim measures to help Hong Kong get out of this difficult situation. May I respectfully suggest that he replaces “interim” with “drastic”? Two areas cry out for attention.
