Kwon Yuri from Girls’ Generation and Daniel Kang from Wanna One are October’s most influential K-pop stars, according to figures released on Sunday.

K-pop superstars BTS return to Hong Kong with four concerts next March

Yuri dominated the star-studded K-pop female top 100 chart in a Brand Reputation Report released by the Korea Reputation Centre.

The SM Entertainment musician and actress was closely followed by Seulgi from Red Velvet, GFriend’s SinB and Jisoo from Black Pink. Seulgi topped the monthly chart in August and September.

The report is an overview of consumers’ online activities surrounding particular stars that were numerically translated based on categories of participation, media, communication and community.

The results show fans’ positive or negative reviews of each celebrity, how much media covered the celebrity and consumers’ level of attention and communication regarding the celebrity.

Kang outranked Seungri from BigBang and Jimin, V and Jungkook from BTS.

“Through the brand reputation report, we can find out who, where, how much, why and in which ways the brands are being talked about,” the research organisation says.

The agency’s monthly evaluation series includes not just celebrities, but also banks, insurance companies, franchises, educational institutions, fashion and food brands.
