What I’m listening to: I love English electric groove band Mama’s Gun, who recently stopped by Hong Kong for a gig at Duddell’s. I’ve also been following Hong Kong indie band Poubelle International – I get a kick out of the fact that they were formed by three designers.
What I’m reading: Crazy Rich Asians by Kevin Kwan. It’s so crazy, so real and such an enjoyable read. As part of my research for The Pawn’s interior makeover, I’ve been reading everything related to retro-futurism, which started at the turn of the 20th century. The best book I came across was a series of essays compiled by the Guggenheim Museum as part of its exhibition titled “Italian Futurism 1909-1944”.
What I’m watching: I couldn’t stop watching the latest season of House of Cards. It is addictive.
What artists I’m following: Sterling Ruby, Liu Wei, Harold Ancart, Paul Chan, Danh Vo, Marina Abramovic and Yayoi Kusama, to name just a few.
