What I’m listening to: The Interstellar soundtrack by Hans Zimmer. The movie is good, but the music is better. Science basically confirms that humans are hard-wired to respond to music – in this case, the music moved me to watch the film twice.

What I’m reading: The Happiness of Pursuit by Chris Guillebeau. I had a fantastic 2014 as I worked all over the world, performed with some of my comedian role models such as George Wallace and Barry Hilton, and won the 2014 Hong Kong International Comedy Competition. Now, I’m strategising – aiming to make 2015 bigger and better with new jokes, more laughter and even happier audiences.

What I’m watching: The Family Man starring Nicolas Cage. Don’t judge – I don’t have much time to watch television, but I love watching movies. This is one of my holiday-season favourites. I’m not only a fan of Nicolas Cage, but I also love those questions that chew at your mind – the woulda, shoulda and couldas of life. This is a wonderful flick about the choices that we make and how they make us who we are.

What artists I’m following: in music, there’s Taylor Swift – yes, I’m gangsta like that. In performing arts/comedy, there’s comedian Trevor Noah – I’d love to work with him. And Texas-based fine artist/ painter Floyd Newsum has a mind I’d like to take a peek at.

Where I’m surfing:, obviously.
