What does 2026’s coming Year of the Horse have in store for those born in the Year of the Horse (1930, 1942, 1954, 1966, 1978, 1990, 2002, 2014)? Renowned fortune-teller Tong Pik-ha offers her comprehensive predictions for the year.

The Year of the Horse is a year of enhanced wisdom. However, people of the Horse zodiac sign clash with and offend the tai sui, or Grand Duke of Jupiter, this year.
This means it will be a volatile year for Horses and they are likely to experience turbulence in relationships, career, wealth, housing and health. These could lead to intrusive thoughts, internal conflict and self-isolation.
A way to mitigate these is to initiate good changes, such as traditional celebratory events, to counteract the negative effects.

Wealth and career
This will be a prosperous year for horses, with improved income compared to 2025. For the self-employed or business owners, turnover will steadily increase with the support of numerous clients. Be sure to seize opportunities and diligently manage your business to reap substantial profits, showcase your talents and achieve excellent results.
For salary earners, there is potential to be recognised for your efforts by your bosses and superiors, leading to promotions and pay rises, with the increase expected to be substantial.
It is essential to seize the opportunity, plan your career path well, and deepen your skills. This is a year of knowledge and self-improvement; consider enrolling in short-term work-related courses to improve your work capabilities.


If you are planning to change jobs, it is advisable to prepare at the end of the Year of the Snake to find a satisfactory position in the new year.
However, due to average health, there is a possibility of significant expenses due to health or family issues. It is recommended to buy sufficient medical insurance to transfer the risk to an insurance company.
Relationships
The combination of offending the tai sui and certain evil stars will make this a critical year for relationships, one that is prone to changes and potential break-ups. Horses may have frequent doubts over whether their values are compatible with their partner’s, leading to thoughts of separation.

Couples in a relationship should communicate more, share their inner thoughts and avoid getting stuck in a rut to prevent the risk of breaking up. Horses who are thinking about getting married should use the celebratory event to ward off the bad vibes.
A bad star affects the health of Horses’ partners, so Horses need to pay close attention to their partner’s physical condition. Furthermore, relationships are prone to change this year; consider having a child or taking a long trip together.
Sadly, single Horses may find it difficult to meet someone this year. They are recommended to focus their energy on work and improving their skills.
Health
Luck for the home and family is not too great this year, with a cursed star causing injuries by way of metal. Pay attention on the road and avoid high-risk activities such as adventure sports.
Another unlucky star will affect the house and home; improve your luck by replacing furniture or undertaking minor renovations.

Another bad star symbolises bloodshed, especially for those born in summer, who may face health problems related to the eyes, heart or blood this year.
Horses are prone to surgery or injury this year, so it is recommended to get your teeth cleaned or donate blood in the fifth and 10th lunar months to reduce the chance of accidents. Additionally, after the start of spring, you can visit a familiar temple for a ritual to appease the tai sui for peace.
