A former K-pop boy band member has had his conviction confirmed for a sex crime he committed as a minor.
The Seoul High Court backed the suspended 18-month jail term handed to former TopSecret member Lee Kyeong-ha, now 21, in a sexual harassment case dating back to 2014, according to South Korean media reports. Lee and the victim were both 16 at the time.
The trial began in April 2017 when the victim filed a complaint against Lee, three months after he made his K-pop debut. The woman alleged in a Facebook post that in 2014, Lee forced her into a building and pinned her against a wall before kissing, groping and molesting her.

The pair were on their first date when the unwanted sexual advances took place.
In May last year, the Seoul Western District Court found Lee guilty, handing him the jail term and ordering him to complete 40 hours of a remedial programme for sex offenders.
He left TopSecret a month later. The group is still active.

In its ruling, the court cited online messages in which Lee apologised to the victim and repeatedly promised not to bother her again.
