New South Korean boy band Tomorrow X Together (TXT) have climbed up to second position on the US Billboard Social 50 chart, the highest reached among fresh K-pop faces this year.
This week TXT – a five-member outfit who made their debut in March – shot up six positions compared to the previous week. K-pop phenomenon BTS were first.

The Billboard Social 50 ranks musicians based on their engagement on leading social media, including YouTube, Facebook, SoundCloud and Instagram.

TXT have been touring the United States since May 4.

TXT are the first K-pop group to be introduced by South Korean entertainment company Big Hit Entertainment since the debut of BTS six years ago.

In March, TXT signed a music distribution contract with American label Republic Records, also home to artists such as Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj.

TXT have been touring the United States since May 4. The run of six concerts came to a close in Los Angeles on Friday.
