The popularity of K-pop sensation BTS has skyrocketed in recent years, with the boy band making history by hitting the top of the US albums charts.
But not only are the group’s members and their music becoming more popular every day, a number of locations featured on their album covers and various places visited by the members are now popular attractions for fans visiting South Korea.
Travelling to one of BTS’ video filming locations and uploading photos with the hashtag #btstour is now a trend among foreign fans. The Korea Tourism Organisation (KTO) conducted a poll of the popularity of BTS-related locations in South Korea from June 10 to 24, in which more than 22,000 fans from 137 countries took part.

Topping the list was a bus stop at Hyangho Beach in Gangneung, Gangwon province, which was featured on the cover of the album You Never Walk Alone, which won 21.8 per cent of the votes even though it is not a real bus stop, but a prop built for the photo shoot.
