Mina, a Japanese member of K-pop girl band Twice, has dropped out of the act’s ongoing world tour due to extreme anxiety, according to her agency.

“Mina is suddenly feeling extremely nervous and anxious about performing on stage,” JYP Entertainment agency said. “We do not exactly know the name of the condition, but are inquiring with medical institutions to verify the cause.

“The decision came after a thorough discussion with Mina and other Twice members. We will do our best to assist her recovery. Please support her.”
Mina is one of nine members of Twice.

The other eight members – Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Momo, Sana, Jihyo, Dahyun, Chaeyoung and Tzuyu – will continue the “Twice World Tour 2019” until August 17. Concerts are due to be held in Singapore, Los Angeles, Mexico City, Newark, Chicago and Kuala Lumpur.

Mina, 22, debuted as a member of Twice in 2015 on the mini-album “The Story Begins”. The band shot to fame with hits including Cheer Up (2016) and Knock Knock (2017).
