K-pop star Daniel Kang has hinted he will resume his music career, ending a two-month hiatus triggered by symptoms of severe stress, ranging from panic attacks to a bout of depression.

“This winter is tough on me, so I have need ed to hibernate and get it over,” Kang wrote on his official fan community. “Your warmth has brought me spring, waking me up to enjoy it.”

The former member of defunct boy band Wanna One also thanked his followers, saying: “I belatedly appreciate everyone for embracing me, although they must have been surprised by the news” that he would put his career on hold. The singer, 23, also promised he would do more to show his appreciation for the support he has received from fans.

Kang and his agency Konnect Entertainment did not provide further details.
