K-pop girl band IZ*One are set to make a comeback after their career was put on hold after a vote-rigging scandal on a hugely popular South Korean reality TV show.

The group’s label, Off The Record Entertainment, announced that the group’s first studio album, Bloom*IZ , would be released on February 17.

The group paused its activities three months ago after programme director Ahn Joon-young admitted to manipulating voting results for Mnet’s survival audition show Produce 101.

The 12-member girl group were formed in 2018 through the third season of Mnet’s Produce 101 series, Produce 48. The group made their debut with their first EP, “Color*IZ”, in October 2018.
