Lovers of fine tailored suits can indulge themselves next month when Giorgio Armani brings its made-to-measure service to the city, with specialised tailors from Italy flying in for three days.

The tactile experience will allow customers to feel the fabrics, select the one they like, choose a lining and the style of buttons as well as specifying the details: the type of lapel, pocket positions, single or double-breasted fastening, pleated or non-pleated trousers. The average retail price of a Giorgio Armani made-to-measure suit is HK$26,000 (US$3,300).

A Perrier-Jouët pop-up will take place at Pacific Place in Admiralty. 

Perrier-Jouët bubbles to put the pop in pop-up 

Champagne House Perrier-Jouët is celebrating art and nature with the return of the Garden of Wonder pop-up at Pacific Place in Admiralty from March 19-April 8. Guests can view art installation Becoming by German-American duo Luftwerk and receive a personalised bottle of Perrier-Jouët Grand Brut (Hong Kong is the only place outside France where this service is available). 

Guests can walk in to the pop-up between 8am and 11pm. It will also host floral painting workshops and champagne tasting sessions. Details about how to register for a session will be available soon.

Breitling rides the green wave

A viral video this month showing a diver swimming through a sea of rubbish at a popular tourist spot in Bali, Indonesia, was another reminder that the planet needs our help. So it’s good to know big brands are joining the fight to safeguard the environment. Breitling is one of them. 

The Swiss luxury watch group has partnered with Ocean Conservancy, an NGO that is leading the global fight for healthy oceans and clean beaches.

“The organisation has an impressive track record of accomplishment, mobilising millions in support of healthy beaches, and is passionate in its fight for our ocean, its wildlife, and coastal communities,” says Breitling chief executive Georges Kern. The brand will get hands-on, helping with beach clean-ups around the globe.

When art meets rug

Bespoke rug specialist Henzel Studio is showcasing its hand-knotted art rugs at the Joyce Central store in the lead-up to Art Basel Hong Kong (March 29-31). Led by artist and creative director Calle Henzel and Joakim Andreasson, the Swedish studio has joined forces with contemporary artists Bjarne Melgaard, Leo Gabin, Olaf Breuning and Richard Prince to honouring icons such as Andy Warhol, Juergen Teller, Tom of Finland and Helmut Lang. 

A special curation of limited-edition rugs will be on show and available for purchase in the Central flagship store. Joyce, 16-18 Queen’s Road Central. 

Hong Kong celebrities will be out in force at the Air Max Day/Air Month.

Local stars shine for Nike 

Nike Air is celebrating Air Max Day/Air Month until March 26 through a collaboration with HBX, Hybebeast's e-commerce platform. Hong Kong fashion and sports pioneers including Lilycash, Stephanie Au, Edgar Cheung, Cecilia So and Anson Lau will present the most-wanted Air Max collections in their styles.
