As a child, I travelled a lot between Hong Kong and the UK. I spent considerable time in France as well. My mother’s family is from Macau so I’ve been going there from an early age. I was also in Australia for a few years.
The benefits of travel extend beyond where to eat and stay. It’s a total package: to learn about culture and make friends, to appreciate architecture, and as a Chinese, to enjoy good food.
I did an Italian trip following the works of the artist Caravaggio. That was very interesting, as you have to do long walks through towns and go into little churches.

I was taken to Copenhagen to see renowned designer Arne Jacobsen’s only hotel, the Radisson Collection Royal Hotel. It’s the true home of Danish modernism.
