Five-star dining in Hong Kong’s Sai Kung, amazing brunches and a Singapore star: where a website-founding vegetarian likes to eat
- Shea Stanley, founder of online resource site Little Steps Asia, says One-ThirtyOne in Sai Kung may be expensive but the experience is fantastic
- Hutong and Zuma are her favourite brunch options, while Artichoke, with its ‘rebel’ chef, is her first port of call whenever she’s in Singapore for work

Originally from the US state of Texas, Shea Stanley is the founder and chief executive of Little Steps Asia, an online resource site for parents and families that she started in 2008. It has now expanded to six cities across the region. She talks to Andrew Sun.
I’m a vegetarian from Texas, so I’m a bit of an oddball. I stopped eating meat when I was five or six. But my son is an adventurous eater, while my daughter is just like me. But I do like to get around and check out new restaurants and kid-friendly experiences.
We just celebrated our 10th anniversary as a website, and we’ve relaunched the site. We’re hoping what we can do is give parents and families the best ideas and the coolest places to go. Our readership is interested in things off the beaten path.
