Hong Kong is set to experience a brief resurgence of winter weather this week, and one way to warm up is with the latest offerings from the city’s newest eateries.

This month, we are seeing the revival of tried-and-true concepts, with the masterminds behind The Butcher’s Club Burger unveiling their new burger concept in SoHo on Hong Kong Island, while Jimmy’s Kitchen is making a comeback at a bigger and better venue in Central.

A vegan bakery has also opened in Taikoo while a new Hokkien restaurant has taken up the eighth floor of the elegant Island Shangri-la hotel in Admiralty.

Two new bars offering wildly different concepts have also opened in Causeway Bay.

One of the newest openings on Elgin Street marks the return of familiar faces Aarik Persaud and Johnny Glover. Flat Iron Burger is the brainchild of the original minds behind The Butchers Club Burger, which launched in Wan Chai in 2014.
