Spring in Hong Kong typically means the arrival of clouds, rain and humidity. A bunch of new restaurants and bars have opened that are perfect to duck into for an escape from the heat and damp.
One of the city’s most well-known dim sum restaurants has reopened, there are new openings in Discovery Bay, Lantau and at the M+ museum, a Sophia Loren-inspired complex, and a SoHo restaurant for a Korean night out, complete with karaoke rooms.

1. Óna
Óna in Discovery Bay Plaza, on Lantau Island, offers a menu inspired by southern Spain and Italy, as well as Morocco, Lebanon, Turkey and Greece.
Signature dishes include kebab, sea bass, calamari, beef tagine and couscous. Vegetarian options like harissa roasted aubergine and spanakopita – spinach pie – are also available.
For dessert, the restaurant offers specialities like baklava and Galaktoboureko custard pie.
