This month, a Japanese-Italian restaurant and a quirky legal-themed bar have opened in Central on Hong Kong Island, a Michelin-recommended eatery has popped up at the airport, and a new seafood dining concept has opened in Macau.

1. Anima by Al Ché-cciano

Lovers of Japanese-Italian cuisine can look forward to the opening of Anima by Al Ché-cciano in Central. This new concept, led by head chef Takahashi Kenji, brings the experience of the much-loved Al Ché-cciano restaurant in Japan to Hong Kong.

The menu consists of the finest Japanese ingredients executed with expert Italian techniques, including bagna càuda (“hot bath”), a hot anchovy and garlic dipping sauce that comes with salad with which to dip, and seasonal pasta dishes.
