Feeling fed up with October? Not to worry, November is here soon and with it the start of a brief period of perfect weather in Hong Kong.
If you do not yet have dining plans this weekend, we have the best events and restaurants to keep you busy.
1. Secret Theatre – The Art of Dying
An evening of free-flow champagne and specially crafted snacks while enjoying a thrilling performance at the Grand Hyatt Hong Kong hotel? Yes, please.
For the uninitiated, Secret Theatre is an events group known for its immersive theatrical experiences where the audience becomes part of the show.

Without any spoilers, VIP ticket holders (HK$1,999/US$260) will start their evening at Lips, the hidden cocktail lounge located above the Grand Hyatt Steakhouse, where you will enjoy snacks and drinks before you move into the main area for the show to begin.
You will be taken to a world, from the hotel suites to the basements, where espionage and the supernatural collide as part of a spellbinding story.
The show will premiere on October 31 and run every Thursday to Sunday until the end of November. Normal entry (HK$850) will get participants the same experience, but they must pay for their food and drinks.

2. Afternoon tea at Sunset Grill
Seeing someone off at the airport can be a bittersweet experience, but taking afternoon tea at the Sunset Grill at the Sheraton Hong Kong Tung Chung Hotel can turn it into a more enjoyable one.
Partnering with Nespresso, the restaurant has prepared a coffee-themed Bittersweet Nespresso Afternoon Tea with items like coffee-rubbed Wagyu hanger steak on ciabatta, coffee and hazelnut panna cotta, hazelnut tiramisu and more. Enjoy two cups of Nespresso coffee or tea while you watch the planes take off and land from the diner.

3. Miami Polo Edition pop-up
On November 1, the Waterfall Bar at the Grand Hyatt Hong Kong is hosting the final night of the Royal Salute 21 Year Old Miami Polo Edition pop-up.
Sip on three exclusive cocktails crafted by head bartender Miguel Fernandez – the tropical Royal Bird, the refined Scotsmen in Miami with Earl Grey hints, and the A. Cambiaso, which mixes Royal Salute’s luxury with the spiciness of ginger beer and matcha syrup. The best part? Entry is free.

4. Saturday champagne brunch
Mandarin Grill + Bar at the Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong hotel has launched an elevated Saturday champagne brunch.
Have an indulgent start to your weekend with appetisers such as blue lobster cocktail, home-smoked salmon, and steak tartare with caviar. Mains include beef Wellington and Dover sole with lemon butter and more.
The two-hour free-flow Ruinart champagne adds even more luxury, making this brunch a weekend highlight.

5. Chilli Fagara’s autumn claypot menu
Chilli Fagara’s seasonal claypot menu, available until December 31, offers seven clay pot dishes that mix Sichuan and Hong Kong food traditions.
Highlights include the Sichuan mixed mushroom clay pot, featuring seasonal mushrooms in a spicy, aromatic sauce, and the Sichuan pepper abalone and chicken clay pot.
Meat lovers can also enjoy the lamb belly clay pot, while vegetarians can indulge in the fermented bean curd vegetable clay pot.
