Hong Kong restaurants are pulling out all the stops for Mother’s Day on May 11, 2025, crafting lavish menus to celebrate the occasion.
From elegant spreads at Salisterra, in Admiralty to Chiu Chow tasting menus at Pak Loh Chiu Chow – various locations – this year’s offerings blend tradition with creativity.
Expect delectable desserts, premium seafood dishes, and fabulous free-flow options. There are also mother-child cooking classes with a fantastic lunch afterwards.
Whether it’s a premium brunch or a nostalgic traditional Cantonese feast, Hong Kong’s chefs are ensuring every mum feels cherished. Here’s where to book for a meal as extraordinary as she is.
1. Salisterra
Treat mum to one of the best views in Hong Kong at Salisterra alongside refreshing Mediterranean cuisine.
The three-course sharing brunch (HK$668) starts with four sharing plates – scallop crudo, zucchini hummus, turbot à la Provençale and meloso rice – served with sides such as mashed potatoes, roasted carrots and broccolini.
End the meal with profiteroles filled with chocolate banana Chantilly cream.

2. Plaisance by Mauro Colagreco
Plaisance recently received its first Michelin star, and you can be sure executive chef Mitsuru Konishi will serve up something worthy of the most important woman in your life.
From May 9 to 11, a four-course lunch (HK$1,388) or a six-course dinner (HK$2,488) will be available, and diners can look forward to intricate dishes like brown crab with caviar and viola veil (flowers suspended in a thin dashi jelly), as well as Hokkaido kinki fish and sudachi citrus.

3. Casa Sofia Loren
For Mother’s Day, the restaurant is hosting the leisurely A’ Tavola Brunch on May 10 and 11 that lasts from 12pm to 4pm.
For HK$588 per person or HK$294 (for kids aged six to 12), the feast begins with sharing appetisers, which include oysters, burrata and carpaccio, followed by three pastas of your choice and mains such as roasted suckling pig or parchment-baked cod. A dessert platter with items like gelato and Limoncello crowns the meal.
Elevate the experience with HK$200 free-flow Prosecco or opt for unlimited soft drinks for HK$80. Kids under five years old eat for free.

4. Castellana
Castellana’s executive chef, Fabiano Palombini, is known for blending tradition and innovation. This Mother’s Day weekend, you can treat your mum to a four-course lunch (HK$780) that includes items like handmade saffron tagliolini, slow-cooked Iberico pork and tiramisu.
For dinner, the five-course menu (HK$1,380) includes an additional scallop crudo and the pasta is upgraded to black truffle risotto. Pair the meal with Krug Grande Cuvée 1½ hour free-flow for an additional HK$398.

5. Oyster & Wine Bar
Sheraton Hong Kong’s Oyster & Wine Bar elevates brunch (HK$1,088) with its harbour vistas. From 12pm to 3pm on May 11, prepare to treat mum to a lavish spread featuring freshly shucked oysters, lobster bisque, eggs Benedict, and premium cuts like USDA prime New York strip or Australian M6 Wagyu.
Add HK$300 for unlimited Barons de Rothschild Brut Champagne to toast the occasion.

6. Pak Loh Chiu Chow (Dai Siu)
If you are celebrating with a large group, then head to Pak Loh Chiu Chow to sample the “Chiu Chow Taste Sensation” set menu, available until June.
Designed for tables of six (HK$5,380) to 10 (HK$8,880), this 10-course feast blends tradition and innovation, from nostalgic favourites like stewed whole abalone in oyster sauce to bold new creations.
Stand-out dishes include a show-stopping crab tower appetiser, sashimi-grade Hokkaido scallops wok-tossed with XO sauce, and delicate leopard coral grouper steamed with aged salted lemon.

7. Yat Tung Heen
Michelin-star Yat Tung Heen honours tradition with an exquisite set menu available from May 1 to 11 (HK$3,988 for four persons, HK$7,988 for eight persons).
The celebratory feast begins with braised bird’s nest soup with crabmeat – a delicacy embodying Cantonese refinement. The show-stopper, braised 10-head abalone with fish maw, is bathed in rich abalone sauce, while the signature lotus leaf-wrapped fried rice is a crowd pleaser with diced goose, conpoy and earthy aromas.

8. Quiero Más
Take your mum to experience Barcelona on a plate at Quiero Más. On 11 May, diners can choose between brunch (HK$358) featuring scallop ceviche, sizzling gambas al ajillo (garlic prawns), and saffron seafood paella, or dinner (HK$398), which includes hamachi (Japanese amberjack) tartare and dry-aged Wagyu bavette (flank steak).
Both menus end with a classic burnt Basque cheesecake and mothers get to sip a complimentary sangria or prosecco.

9. Heimat
Bond with the most important woman in your life over a baking class and lunch at Heimat, where mums and children can learn to make German chocolate- and banana-flavoured Gugelhupf under the guidance of chef and founder Peter Find. Afterwards, indulge in a special four-course menu featuring white asparagus.
Patrons can attend the classes without lunch at HK$568, otherwise prices vary depending on the date – the course is available on May 2, 3, 9, 10 and 11.
