Aulis: restaurant review

  • Simon Rogan’s intimate chef’s table, inside Roganic Hong Kong, seats up to 12 guests

The avant-garde space inside Roganic Hong Kong, Aulis is Simon Rogan’s intimate chef’s table, offering up to 12 guests an interactive experience as chefs lead you through 16 courses.

The menu changes seasonally. The current offerings feature truffle pudding with birch sap, stout and Lincolnshire poacher; New Territories tomato with whipped mussel and turnip; and Zen Farm carrots with chicken skin, horseradish and lovage. Of course the world-famous soda bread paired with brown cultured English butter is also in the line-up. For a very reasonable addition of HK$680, sommeliers offer pairings of wine, or a flight of non-alcoholic drinks for HK$380.
