I am basically a human garbage bin and I will consume almost anything edible, although my usual diet is coffee and salad. My favourite restaurant in Hong Kong is (5 Gough Street, Central, tel: 2850 6009). All of its ramen noodles are super yummy, made on the spot and al dente.

For lunch, I sometimes go to (shop 13, 1/Fapm Millennium City 5, Kwun Tong, tel: 2156 2000). It's an unexpected gem in Kwun Tong, where my office is located. The decor is almost like a traditional "ice room", but with a modern twist.

It serves fusion cuisine such as my favourite dish, baked rice with bolognese and fried egg. The atmosphere is surprisingly calm for a restaurant with an open entrance that's located in a mall. But it is very well lit, which makes it a great place to scribble my thoughts.

I usually take friends visiting Hong Kong for the first time to dine at (shop 3071-3075, 3/F IFC Mall, 1 Harbour View Street, Central, tel: 2383 8765). The balcony overlooks the harbour towards Tsim Sha Tsui and part of Wan Chai, giving a totally different perspective on Hong Kong's skyline. It has a great wine list and serves wonderful pizza.

For some fancy dining to wow guests, I go to (shop A, 101/F International Commerce Centre, 1 Austin Road West, Tsim Sha Tsui, tel: 2972 2666). Again, it's all about the view, and the one here is eye-popping. The interior is beautifully designed and has some quiet space where you can talk, which is sometimes hard to find in Hong Kong. The sashimi is super fresh and it also has a very good list of alcoholic beverages.

For my guilty pleasure, I go to (shop G15A, K11, 18 Hanoi Road, Tsim Sha Tsui, tel: 2138 6210). The banana split yogurt is great. I like to believe it is healthy, since it's still yogurt, right?
