My favourite restaurants, by ex-Hong Kong rugby player Ricky Cheuk

As I am a gym owner and former Sevens player, I am very careful about my diet, and watch what I eat all the time. I am now on the Paleo diet (no carbs/high protein). I only enjoy a cheat meal once a week, normally on a Sunday, when I eat whatever I want with my family.
My pre-game meals used to always consist of chicken or vegetables with pasta. For post-game routines, I'd tuck into bananas and toast to replenish my energy.
Dining out, my favourite cuisine has to be Japanese. I love the freshness of the products and the seafood, and it is an incredible cuisine.
My favourite is (110-114 Tung Lo Wan Road, Tai Hang, tel: 2398 8000). It's surely one of the best in Hong Kong.
Another local place where I love to eat is (shop 6, 3/F Kowloon City Municipal Services Building, Nga Tsin Wai Road, tel: 2382 3367), a cha chaan teng in the Kowloon City wet market. It brings back plenty of childhood memories.
I frequently visit Kowloon City for a casual bite, as I love all the locally run restaurants there. They are so different from restaurants in Central and SoHo.
