Psychologist Joyce Chao Puihan chooses her favourite restaurants

In stressful Hong Kong, you should try to find your own peace in simple things like a coffee break or lunch. People say they don't have time but you can use these moments to relax your mind. Buy a special coffee or enjoy something you like or that has meaning for you.
As for me, I love food but in Hong Kong it is a challenge to get good quality food. I used to live in Hawaii, so by comparison the produce here is a bit sad.
When I do eat out, I like places such as (5 Moon Street, Wan Chai, tel: 2529 3319), a raw food restaurant owned by an Indian woman, and which has a French chef.
I have been going to (two locations including H110-112, 1/F, Block B, PMQ, 35 Aberdeen Street, Central, tel: 2915 1022) to learn how to make my own bread. The process of kneading dough is relaxing. The trend in Hong Kong seems to be younger people trying to make a living with simple crafts such as making their own bread, cake and clothes. I hope there will be more of this.
(various locations, including Shop 3008, IFC Mall, Central, 8 Finance Street, Central, tel: 2295 0238) is good and they don't use MSG, which is a good thing as I'm allergic to it.
For dim sum, (Levels 3 and 4, Shanghai Tang Mansion, 1 Duddell Street, Central, tel: 2525 9191) is really good. I don't have it too often but I treat my friends there. It's fancy and expensive so I really savour it. The atmosphere downstairs is better than upstairs. It's also good for special occasions and it's next to my office.
