I am an Irishman who grew up in the Middle East and my family lived and travelled all over the world, so I have tried interesting food and new cuisines since I was little.
Depending on the outlets, I like to take things as they are and to not be critical or not judge anything at the beginning by my [own] culinary experience. I like Asian food, especially street food, but I also enjoy eating at Joel Robuchon's fine-dining restaurants. The key is to balance everything. The past couple of years in Hong Kong, the dining scene has offered an incredible variety of food adventures.
I am still a meat and potatoes guy. A burger is my top comfort food and my favourite is the juicy burgers served at (Rialto Building, 2 Landale Street, Wan Chai, tel: 2528 2083). (9 Staunton Street, SoHo, tel: 2522 7533) is my Vietnamese quick bites spot.

(28 Elgin Street, SoHo, tel: 2577 7160) is one of my frequent dining places, even though I am no longer involved in the business there with my friend Todd Darling, the co-founder. I especially love their chicken parmigiana and all the pasta dishes.
My swanky lunch option is (Podium 6, Four Seasons Hotel, 8 Finance Street, Central, tel: 3196 8860). They do impressive lunch sets of good value with excellent food quality. I can't have enough of their bread and cheese.

Whenever I have visitors, I take them to (L49, The Upper House, Pacific Place, 88 Queensway, Admiralty, tel: 3968 1106). This terrific location offers comforting food.
