I know a place: Photographer Chung Hoi Shing's favourite food stops
Grace MW Wong

Chung Hoi Shing (aka DM Chung) is a wedding and still life photographer
My job has me shooting in different venues, and as each job's location varies, I am flexible about where to get my meals. I don't cook, so dining out is a daily need. I am a foodie who loves scrumptious food, but I don't judge dishes based on expensive ingredients and high prices. My mood controls my stomach. If I go back to the same place, it's usually because of the food, not because I know the staff or the owners. I don't eat spicy or heavily sauced food. Cantonese cuisine is my favourite, and I like stir-fried dishes. When this craving arises, I go to (7-10 Hop Lung Factory Building, 5-11 Mong Lung Street, Shau Kei Wan, tel: 2513 6628).
It's an unpretentious Cantonese place where I can indulge in the stir-fried fresh razor clams, or steamed free-range chicken topped with scallions and oil sauce.
My office is in Sheung Wan, so I hunt for food in that neighbourhood. Before starting the day, I like to eat something light. Sometimes I eat at (Luen Wai Apartments, 136-142 Belcher's Street, Western District, tel: 2818 3658). It doesn't have English signage, but an English-language menu is available.
The eatery offers everything from street snacks to mains to desserts. Go for the steamed rice rolls with eggs, and the three curry treasures: fish balls, crispy pig skin, and turnip.
