LG's pink or silver wireless printer (HK$1,099, electrictung.com) uses short-range radio tech called NFC to link to Android smartphones and tablets. A "tap" sends the information over Bluetooth for printing. The slick LG Pocket Photo App lets you edit images before printing, as well as add text and share on social media. Great quality 313 DPI 50mm x 76mm colour photos are printed in less than 45 seconds on heat-activated 50 x 76mm Zink paper, which is costly at HK$90 for 30 sheets. Highly portable, the PD233 measures 72mm x 24mm x 121mm and weighs 212 grams.

Just as pocketable as the LG at 102mm x 42mm x 122mm and weighing in at 253grams, the Instax Share SP-1 (HK$1,290, yohohongkong.com) uses Wi-Fi Direct and the free Instax Share app to transfer photos from a phone. Its 254 DPI, 62 x 46mm photos are more personal, with the date, place, weather, temperature and humidity printed on the frame. It's also possible to create a social media print that includes the number of likes. However, the paper costs about HK$60 for just 10 prints.
