VICHY AQUALIA THERMAL SPA SLEEPING MASK

The claim: Mineral-rich thermal spa water and a non-greasy gel-cream texture replenish the skin and restore radiance overnight.
The review: Once a thick layer has been applied to the face and neck, this nighttime spa mask (HK$270) feels light and refreshing. It is recommended that you close your eyes and allow the gel to infuse the skin for 10 to 15 minutes, while massaging your temple and eyebrows with the thumb and ring fingers, respectively. It certainly feels like a do-it-yourself luxury spa treatment, and our skin felt soft and moisturised in the morning. Tracey Furniss
 
 

LANEIGE WATER SLEEPING PACK_EX
The claim: One of the brand's hero products, this gel-type mask (HK$195) brightens and hydrates the skin while promoting deep relaxation.
The review: We love the "overnight" concept of this mask, because it means we don't have to wait 15 minutes, then wash it off. The gel texture absorbed easily and didn't leave residue on our pillow. We covered our face and neck with a thin layer, and the next morning our skin felt soft, with the fine lines on our nose (due to dehydration) much smoother. Though it's recommended to use after toner and moisturiser, we also use it as a substitute for night cream. Vivian Chen
 
 
BEAUTY BY CLINICA IVO PITANGUY SPECIFICS ANTI-AGING CREAM MASK

The claim: A rich, creamy mask (HK$1,900) for nighttime use with active ingredients to nourish, repair and increase the density of the skin.
The review: We tend to be lazy when it comes to using night creams, but the soothing fragrance and "whipped cream" texture of this product had us intrigued. While we expected it to sit on top of the skin like a mask, it absorbed quickly into dry skin. Even without laying it on thickly at first, we found it to be a very effective moisturiser without leaving us shiny the next day. Tama Lung
 
 
LANCÔME ENERGIE DE VIE NUIT

The claim: A night recovery mask-in-cream (HK$620) developed specifically for Asian women, with three root extracts to purify and strengthen the skin.
The review:  We loved the light, dewy texture of this cream and its pleasant fragrance, which makes it very soothing when used before bedtime. Even though it's supposed to be an overnight mask, it functions more like an intense night cream. It spreads easily and penetrates the skin immediately without leaving a "filmy" feeling like some other nighttime moisturisers. Our skin felt plumper and dewier the next morning and looked like it had a great night's sleep. This product gets a tick on our "good performer" chart. Pin Lee
