Burger circus is fun with a variety of treats
Tracey Furniss

Burger Circus is fun. It is 1950s milk bar meets train carriage, with upbeat music and alcoholic milkshakes - we tried the Piña Colada with vanilla ice cream, dark rum, pineapple, coconut and maraschino cherry, and the Cinnamon Roll with vanilla ice cream, whisky and salted caramel (both HK$78).

The menu offers a good selection of burgers. We tried the Circus Classic, a 5oz beef patty with lettuce, tomato and sauce (HK$70); the Flame Swallower with spicy chicken, hot sauce marinade, American cheese, lettuce, tomato and ranch dressing (HK$88); the shark rider, aka the tuna melt (HK$88); and the cannonbowl, which consists of any burger on the menu minus the bread, but served as a salad with extra lettuce for the same price as the chosen burger. We tried sides of fries (HK$30), jalapeño poppers with cream cheese filling and ranch dip (HK$78), and a kosher dill pickle (HK$18). Save room for dessert - especially delicious is the chocolate layer cake (HK$88) and New York cheesecake (HK$78). Portions are large enough to share.
