Shaken, not stirred
For collectors of all things Bond, James Bond, Belvedere vodka has partnered with the makers of the latest Bond movie, Spectre, to create limited-edition bottles. The Belvedere 007 Spectre special-edition bottles feature the iconic Bond 007 gun logo. The logo is also available on the limited-edition "Silver Saber" bottles which were rolled out last year and are known for their cutting-edge, metallic aesthetic and illuminating technology. The 007 Spectre bottles are available until December from selected retail outlets. Also, in honour of the movie, Belvedere has created a selection of Belvedere Spectre 007 martinis - shaken, not stirred - and other cocktails such as the Double O that can be ordered at select bars and restaurants including Gaia, Duddell's, Tott's, Three Monkeys, and Alibi at Cordis Hong Kong.
Boutique whisky maker Benromach recently introduced its classic Speyside single-malt Scotch to the Hong Kong market, which includes the Benromach 10 years old, Benromach 15 years old and the Benromach 100-degree Proof. The distillery has been making whisky since 1898 in the traditional handcrafted style. The barley is grown locally and malted with peat smoke and water from the Romach Hills. The brand's flagship whisky is the acclaimed Benromach 10 years old, which won Spirit of the Year at the 2015 International Spirits Awards in Germany and a gold medal at the 2015 San Francisco World Spirits Competition. The whisky is available from select retail outlets, including Rare & Fine Wines, Hung Yuen Provisions and Lillion Wine.
