WHO TO BRING A special someone on a third date to show your adventurous side, or close friends for a night of good food and drink.

TURN-ONS Warm wood panels and snug booths take up most of the dining room, where each table is equipped with an elevated grill and a descending exhaust fan that catches the fumes. YakiniKuu’s focus is unconventional cuts of meat such as Chateaubriand, shoulder cut and skirt steak. Our selections take us on a gastronomic journey of how different beef can taste. We start with the thick-cut ox tongue, grilled crisp by the wait staff, that is soft and breaks at the bite with the right balance of gaminess and juiciness. The shoulder cut has just the right amount of marbling to offer a stronger beef flavour. A fatty rib-eye wows our palates with its rich buttery texture and we end with the exclusive Chateaubriand that delivers a punchy beef taste. We are also served the sukiyaki special, a shallow iron pot heated on the grill with Japanese tomatoes and gorgeous Wagyu slices, the vegetable a welcome change from the meaty meal.
