Backpacks are totally the modern bag for toting around all the stuff we need for a typical day. While I do love a messenger bag, the one-shoulder thing can be annoying with a stiff suit jacket on. For a fancier outfit, I like to switch out my sportier packs for a designer one. I've secretly coveted Pierre Hardy's women's accessories for a while, so I was psyched to see leather, block-colour backpacks for guys (HK$18,000; Lane Crawford, IFC Mall, Central, tel: 2118 2288). Valentino has just what you want in studded black leather (HK$19,800; IFC Mall, tel: 2234 7193). Or go with local brand Seventy-Eight Percent, which does them in cool combos of leather and canvas (HK$4,500; www.seventyeightpercent.com).

That, sir, depends entirely upon who you are. Are you the courier who need only wear what is speedy and comfortable? Are you a student in search of a sensible way to lug books? Or are you an executive whose attire must convey success, or the potential for it? I suspect you are the latter, in which case a rucksack is not only inappropriate, it is also liable to wrinkle your suit. The folio, a hand-held leather folder-cum-briefcase, is today's style favourite. I'm currently very happy with my un-branded, leather documents case, bought at Lianca (HK$1,830; 27 Staunton Street, Central, tel: 2139 2989). Smythson is a classic leather house offering a variety of folios with multiple pockets and removable slips (HK$4,700; Pacific Place, Admiralty, tel: 2918 9100). If you'd like a flashier style, go for the crocodile-skin cases at Kwanpen (HK$79,400; IFC Mall, tel: 2918 9978).

I'm sorry, I simply do not understand. Not only does your "question" not make any sense, it also leaves me with no way to help you. Unfortunately, you will have to travel to London for a full Spencer Hart www.spencerhart.com service with founder Nick Hart, though there have been sporadic tailoring events here and occasional availability on mrporter.com. After some research, I have discovered that the British tailoring brand is worn in the television series by Benedict Cumberbatch, who plays the title detective. He does look very stylish, too. However, other labels are also featured, such as Dolce & Gabbana, Vivienne Westwood, Alexander McQueen and Yves Saint Laurent.
