Atelier Cologne is new on the Hong Kong perfume scene. Made with fresh, rare ingredients, essential oils and plenty of character, the distinctive scents are largely unisex and eschew the typically heavy tones of modern perfumes. Five fragrances – Encens Jinhae, Philtre Ceylan, Poivre Electrique, Mimosa Indigo and Tobacco Nuit – make up the Collection Orient (HK$1,200 for 30ml/HK$2,800 for 200ml), which is inspired by the founders’ travels through Asia and the Middle East. We especially like the mandarin, leather and Indian tones of the Mimosa Indigo, as well as the combination of smoked Turkish flowers, citrus and Egyptian labdanum in Tobacco Nuit.
