New skincare, revitalising facials and fresh make-up for spring/summer

RITES OF SPRING Make your way to Melo Spa for a Spring Wellness treatment. The three new treatments - designed to detox the body, release tension and restore luminosity - include a Revitalising Ginseng Journey (HK$1,988) with body scrub, massage and facial; and the Melo Stress-a-Way (HK$1,188) with back massage and moisturising facial. Guests will also receive a bowl of nutritious Chinese soup.

AGE DEFYING Designed to be a woman’s first antiageing treatment, Sisleyouth is a lightweight moisturiser with a matte finish. The new product is targeted at women aged 25 to 35 whose skin may be showing the first signs of ageing – not to mention the wear and tear of late nights, stressful jobs and motherhood. Key ingredients include pea extract to protect stem cells, soy peptide extract to stimulate collagen synthesis, and adenosine to combat crow’s feet.

BUZZ WORTHY Chantecaille continues its make-up-for-a-cause campaign with a colourful new palette dedicated to the world's rapidly declining bee population. The Save the Bees Palette (HK$830) features two on-trend pastel eye shadows plus a blush and highlighter in a refillable compact. Five per cent of proceeds will be donated to wildlife conservation group The Xerces Society, which works to protect bees along with other invertebrates such as butterflies and starfish. Chantecaille also encourages customers to save bees by planting wildflower seeds, eliminating pesticide use, purchasing local honey and signing Xerces's online Pollinator Pledge.

BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY Japanese cosmetics house Clé de Peau Beauté and spokeswoman Amanda Seyfried celebrate bohemian beauty with its spring make-up collection, La Bohème. The subtly sparkling new shades include two Eye Color Quads (in Peach Brown and Plum Brown), three limited-edition Enriched Lip Luminizers, and a Delicate Pink version of the must-have Luminizing Face Enhancer.

PILLOW TALK Leave it to the beauty experts in Korea to create the next must-have for your make-up kit: cushion foundation. The innovative product has been popping up at several Korean counters, and now herbal medicinal brand Sulwhasoo has jumped into the fray. Its Evenfair Perfecting Cushion SPF 50+ PA+++ (HK$430) features herbal extracts to hydrate, even skin tone and replenish qi in a sheer liquid that is released with a gentle press of the cushion. Available in three shades, with Light Pink to be released in late March.

SCENTS OF STYLE American designer Tory Burch has taken the fashion world by storm with her chic, wearable clothes - not to mention her ubiquitous ballerina flats. She's set to do the same with a carefully edited beauty collection, which last month made its runway debut at New York Fashion Week (above) and is now available at Lane Crawford's Canton Road store. The highlight of the collection is the Tory Burch Eau de Parfum infused with crisp citrus and fruit notes, rich florals and her father's signature vetiver. Other must-have items include a body cream, candle, blush, bronzer and lip colours.

TAKING EXCEPTION In need of a little lift? Then check out Chuan Spa's latest offering. The 90-minute Thalgo Exceptional Facial Treatment (HK$1,895) combines the French skincare brand's Exception Ultime anti-ageing products with an exclusive massage that's been dubbed a "manual facelift". Targeting the muscles of face, neck and décolleté, the 20-minute massage aims to reduce wrinkles, reposition volume and redefine facial contours. The marine-based products, including a serum and rich cream, are also available for purchase at the spa.

RICH PICKINGS Adding to its luxe Premier Cru range, Caudalie has just introduced La Crème Riche. The "ultimate anti-ageing cream" contains the French skincare brand's signature vine- and grape-derived ingredients to correct and prevent wrinkles, dullness and dark spots. The richly textured cream also features apricot butter, grape oil and three natural waxes to nourish and firm the skin. La Crème Riche (HK$1,200) is exclusive to Caudalie's Gough Street flagship, which last month unveiled a range of indulgent spa services.
