Kim Kardashian has maxed out on state-of-the-art equipment, Khloé’s private gym resembles that of a luxury hotel, and Kourtney has her own Pilates studio

Luxe gyms are big business these days – and we’re not just talking about those exclusive clubs where you spend thousands of dollars in membership fees. Fitness-obsessed celebrities from Jennifer Aniston to Hailey Bieber are giving workout buffs a serious case of treadmill envy by posting videos of their flashy private gyms across social media.
The Kardashian sisters have never shied away from publicising their competitive, sweat-inducing workouts on their show, and their in-house fitness centres have received plenty of airtime lately. While Kourtney has her own Pilates studio, Khloé’s gym is so big that it could easily rival any luxury hotel or club. Kim, meanwhile, has a staggering collection of state-of-the-art equipment from treadmills and StairMasters to rowing machines – to go with all her designer handbags and shoes of course – in her Hidden Hills mansion.

Gym buffs today are spoiled for choice when it comes to fitness equipment, with offerings spanning stylish manual treadmills by Woodway to hi-tech, super minimalist ergonomic bikes like the Ciclotte, which combines fitness with aesthetics. Even fashion houses are expanding into gear that appeals to the logo-obsessed. Celine recently unveiled a sleek collection of equipment and accessories, including kettlebells, dumbbells and skipping ropes in natural calfskin, mirror-polished steel and cork.

The latest trends, however, highlight equipment that incorporates advanced digital technologies while merging style and function.

“The market has evolved in two key areas: technology and design. Customers now seek innovative, connected experiences that blend performance equipment with the emotional side of wellness,” says Nerio Alessandri, founder and president of Technogym, a brand leader whose products have been spotted in the homes of sporting legends like David Beckham and Rafael Nadal, in addition to luxury hotels and fitness clubs.

“There’s an increasing demand to integrate gym solutions into all types of spaces, creating environments that are both functional and reflective of personality. Opportunities lie in combining advanced AI-driven technology with design-led, emotionally engaging experiences,” he says.

Technogym’s latest launches reflect this. A new AI-powered tool called Checkup analyses physical, functional and cognitive parameters to customise training programmes while its cutting-edge Biostrength training equipment automatically adjusts loads based on the user and can even indicate the number of sets, repetitions and optimal recovery times while correcting posture. Other innovative offerings include the Connected Dumbbells, which combine 12 sets of dumbbells into one and feature a built-in sensor to collect data on movement and performance, helping users further personalise their workouts at home.
