Rumours abound that the son of India’s wealthiest man is dating Radhika Merchant, the daughter of a business tycoon, and could soon follow in the footsteps of his older brother and sister

The Ambani twins Isha and Akash recently had lavish weddings that featured stunning decorations, beautiful outfits and plenty of celebrity guests. But Isha and Akash aren’t the only children of Asia’s richest man Mukesh Ambani. Their younger brother Anant is starting up his courtship process. Here’s why he might just be the most eligible bachelor in India.

Like his siblings, Anant very well-educated. The Ambanis place a premium on high-quality education, and Anant is no exception. As a child, he studied at Dhirubhai Ambani International School in Mumbai – a school named after his grandfather.

Then it was off to Brown University, an Ivy League university in the United States that his brother Akash also attended. Anant only graduated in 2017, so he probably hasn’t made up his mind about pursuing graduate school. But if his siblings are any indication, he is likely to pursue a business degree at a top institution.

As a child, Anant struggled with asthma, and the medication caused him to gain weight. By the time he was in his late teens, he weighed 178kg – and became a victim of bullying on social media.

It all changed a few years ago when Anant lost 108kg in roughly 18 months, thanks to dietary changes, walking and yoga. To acknowledge his remarkable journey, celebrities like Bollywood actor Salman Khan took to Twitter with congratulatory messages. Since then, Anant has managed to keep the weight off and remain healthy.

We love that he’s a total mama’s boy. As the “baby” of the family, Anant Ambani has a sweet relationship with his famous mother Nita. When Anant was struggling with his weight, she supported him unflinchingly and even joined him as he exercised and changed his diet. She also inspired her son, having lost almost 58kg herself a few years earlier.
