K-pop boy group Monsta X's Lee Joo-heon, better known by his stage name Joohoney, will be stepping back from the band due to health concerns.

The group's agency Starship Entertainment said on Twitter on Sunday that the 26-year-old had been advised to take a break after being diagnosed with anxiety disorder at multiple hospitals.

Whether and when he will return to the team is unclear. The agency said it all depended on his health.

“After receiving the results of medical examinations, all members discussed the issue and came to the conclusion that Joohoney needs enough rest,” the agency said. “We ask for your understanding so he can recover and return.”

Last month, Joohoney suffered a severe headache and dizziness after boarding a flight to the US, where the group was expected to perform at the annual Jingle Ball concert. He missed the flight, but later joined the members after receiving medical treatment.

For the time being, Monsta X will continue as a five-member group. It is preparing to release its first all English-language album on February 14.
