Many would say Anita Yuen Wing-yi is living a charmed life. After winning Miss Hong Kong, she has had an award-winning career as an actress and is now married to the popular icon Chilam Cheung, with whom she shares an adorable son. The celebrity couple have worked hard and must have invested wisely, as the two have been seen buying luxury property and Yuen has been spotted with accessories from Hermès, Patek Philippe and Rolex that many of us can only dream of.

Famous for her role as Ren Yingying in the adaptation of author Jin Yong’s The Smiling, Proud Wanderer, Yuen also won best actress for two consecutive years at the Hong Kong Film Awards, for her role in C’est la Vie, Mon Chéri (1993) and for her comic cross-gender role opposite Leslie Cheung in He’s a Woman, She’s a Man.

Yuen was also lauded for her performance in TVB drama Born Rich. Together, the celebrity power couple also won many fans with their sweet appearance in the Korean variety show King of Masked Singer.

Here are a few more things that we at STYLE think you should know about the 49-year-old star.

Multimillion dollars worth of property

Yuen and her husband Chilam Cheung have been spotted eyeing property in China. Since their famous purchase of a HK$91.8 million (US$11.8 million) property at Trafalgar Court in Hong Kong in 2017, the couple have made more appearances in China. They took part in reality shows such as With You All the Way and Viva La Romance 2 and have been in high demand to make appearances in variety shows and for sponsorship deals. With that in mind, it only made sense to have a pied-à-terre in mainland China. They were spotted at an open-house event at One Shenzhen Bay where a flat is reported to cost US$6.1 million.

Hermès

Not only is Yuen seen often shopping at Hermès, it seems like it’s the only handbag brand she wears (a love she shares with powerful women as diverse as Melania Trump and Nita Ambani). Whether it’s dressed up with an elegant Kelly Cut clutch in alligator leather or just a Mini Bolide in T-shirt and jeans, she has an Hermès for every occasion.

Needless to say she’s been spotted with many Birkins, from a black alligator with shoulder strap paired with jeans and Converse trainers, to the limited edition Birkin Shadow that she styles with black jeans and a down jacket. It was reported that after a stint in quarantine in April, the first thing Yuen did was go on a shopping spree at a local Hermès and bought six bags and a pile of clothing. She did clarify on her Weibo account that she bought six wallets for gifts and a hat only – though that would still amount to a small fortune for most of us.

Luxury watches

Yuen made headlines a few years ago when she was spotted wearing a Rolex Oyster Perpetual GMT-Master II, in Oystersteel with a Jubilee bracelet, and crowned with a blue and red Pepsi bezel. This watch isn’t as pricey as one might think, setting collectors back HK$75,400 (US$9,725) at current prices, but the fact that the watch was on her wrist mere days after it was revealed at Baselworld in Switzerland turned heads.

The He’s a Man, She’s a Woman actress has also sported a Patek Philippe Nautilus 5711 in rose gold that comes in at an eye-watering US$51,000, as well as a 1968 model Rolex Daytona – as worn by Paul Newman. His sold at auction in 2017 for a whopping US$15.5 million. While Yuen’s may not be that exact same watch, there is premium on this vintage model, rendering it extremely rare and pricey.

Skincare products

Yuen has been a noted beauty since the 1990s so of course she’s not going to shirk on the products she puts on her face. The brand Clé de Peau is regularly featured on her Instagram – 50ml of their Beauté la Crème can set you back US$770. La Mer also makes constant appearances on her social media with their Crème de la Mer retailing at US$1,130.
