What is Luxury Escapes CEO Cameron Holland’s favourite holiday destination?
Cameron Holland is a leading commentator on travel, consumer trends, business growth and innovation. He is also the CEO of e-commerce business Luxury Escapes. Appointed to the position at Luxury Escapes just over a year ago, Holland has more than a decade of experience in the travel industry and has played a pivotal role in growing some of Australia’s best-known businesses.
Lately, I’ve been … working on building our business across Asia, with Luxury Escapes now featuring holidays across the region and farther afield to suit the discerning travel customer at great value. We’ll be launching our Flights product for Singapore soon and then Hong Kong – busy times!
Why JOMO travellers are embracing the ‘joy of missing out’
To me, Christmas means … spending quality time with family and friends. Watching my kids open presents on Christmas morning is always a lot of fun. However, we also try and instil in them the message that Christmas is really about giving, so we try and find ways to give back to people less fortunate than ourselves.
My favourite holiday memory is … the spectacle of a white Christmas when we lived in Baltimore, Maryland, as kids many years ago – that was pretty special. More recently we hosted our extended family at our house last year and it was wonderful to have everyone under the same roof for the occasion, which is so rare these days.
My favourite place to spend the festive season is … on a beach somewhere. We have some great beaches in Australia and this year we will be spending plenty of time in Torquay, near the Great Ocean Road.
This holiday season, my wish list includes … the only thing that is impossible to get: more time for holidays.
My New Year’s resolution is … the same as for the past 20 years: get fit and stay healthy. I’m sure it will happen this year!
