Hennessy hosted a special event at its headquarters in Cognac, southwestern France, for the unveiling of Chinese artist Zhang Huan’s masterpiece Eaux-de-Vie in celebration of Lunar New Year 2020. Zhang, who also created a special Lunar New Year edition of the Hennessy collection bottle, was there to unveil his work of art alongside Hennessy master blender Renaud Fillioux de Gironde at one of the cognac-maker’s distilleries outside the main town. It is the first time Hennessy has collaborated with Zhang, commissioned to celebrate 150 years of Hennessy in China, and the start of a new cycle in the Chinese zodiac with the Year of the Rat. 5 wine apps to help you pick the right bottle or keep track of your cellar Capturing the spirit of Hennessy, the over five-metre-long artwork is a dreamscape inspired by Hennessy’s famous library of eaux-de-vie. The celebrations continued into the night at the Hennessy Château de Bagnolet with a special dinner of Chinese and French fusion dishes.
