Valentine's Day

  • Covid-19 restrictions are likely to continue over Valentine’s Day and the Lunar New Year weekend – but restaurants are offering more than just candlelit dinners
  • Enjoy Wagyu rib-eye, Tsarskaya oysters, delectable desserts and – of course – champagne with these special menus spiced with romance

Valentine’s Day falls squarely on the Lunar New Year holiday in Hong Kong this year – and on a Sunday, no less. Although social distancing restrictions are likely to continue, meaning that a romantic candlelit dinner will be off the cards, a romantic brunch for two still sounds pretty good, too. And for those who would rather dine at home, there are plenty of extra special delivery options as well.

Two-Michelin-starred Amber is offering a four- or eight-course lunch while Porterhouse in Lan Kwai Fong’s California Tower has prepared an opulent menu especially for lovers. Date by Tate, the casual arm of two-Michelin-starred Tate, has ramped up the romance factor of their delivery options to provide an extra special at home experience for their diners.
