Let’s face it, no one wants to cook on New Year’s Eve. Fortunately you can avoid doing so this year, and get a pretty spectacular view into the bargain, with the chef’s table experience at The Upper House. For a group of 10 people, the six-course menu from chef de cuisine Chris Czerwinski comes with champagne and Nomad caviar pairings, and is served in the private dining room of the luxe-minimal Admiralty hotel’s Mediterranean restaurant Salisterra, which will be celebrating its first new year after replacing the much-loved Cafe Gray Deluxe.

On the way there, be sure to check out the hotel’s unique Christmas tree, created by design firm Victoria Tang Studio, an East-meets-West affair consisting of triangular panels featuring traditional Christmas motifs picked out in Chinese hand embroidery. The tree will be raffled for charity, with proceeds going to the Hong Kong Down Syndrome Association.

2. Four Seasons Hong Kong

The five-star Central hotel is offering a Festive Staycation package from December 24 to January 1. It includes breakfast, buffet dinner or lunch for two in the Grand Ballroom, and, to aid with your post-holiday food coma recovery, Dr Barbara Sturm’s Serum Discovery gift set.

3. Pampered to your own playlist at W Hong Kong

So what’s your favourite love song? Ed Sheeren’s Perfect perhaps, or Adele’s Someone Like You? Now W Hong Kong is offering a menu of spa experiences that mix various forms of pampering with being immersed in your favourite tunes.

For couples and besties alike, the luxurious Lazy Hazy Crazy Days spa-cation package is perfect for relaxing and unwinding together. It offers a one-night stay plus 195 minutes of various spa programmes, which includes a 105-minute caviar and collagen cocoon deluxe body experience and 60 minutes of either the precious caviar facial or crystal clearing microdermabrasion facial for you and a loved one. Since you’re at the W, the party and champagne are always on the menu so be ready to also indulge in a 30-minute luxury champagne super soak in the BIP (Bliss Important Person) suite with a view of Victoria Harbour, plus more bubbles to enjoy in your room later.

For solo spa-goers, the Love Yourself package is equally pampering and indulgent. It comprises 60 minutes of diamond rose nourishing and firming massage experience and 60 minutes infusion collagen booster e-mesotherapy or Natura Bisse diamond brightening facial, plus some bubbles to enjoy in the meantime.
