But fear not, if home cooking is not your thing, there are some fantastic options to help you enjoy the holiday in Hong Kong this November, whether it be to eat-in or takeaway.

1. Stone Nullah Tavern

Catering to large and small parties, American eatery Stone Nullah Tavern is bringing us a delicious Thanksgiving dinner (HK$548 per person) with a choice between their famous garlic butter roasted turkey or southern fried turkey and a variety of sides.

2. Mott 32

This Thanksgiving, Mott 32 are going for a unique take on the holiday, with the turkey being offered in three different ways for you to share with your friends and family.

Their whole barbecue roasted free range turkey will be carved tableside, served with pancakes and three home-made sauces. Then there’s the turkey and five shade salad, and minced turkey served with water chestnut mushroom and bamboo.

The turkey menu (HK$1,880) must be ordered at least 48 hours in advance.

3. Hunter & The Chase

Hunter & The Chase will be offering an appropriately named Thanksgiving sharing frenzy menu (HK$588 per person) for a minimum of four guests.

This menu is packed with festive fare, from potted turkey confit, butternut salad, ham steak with roasted pineapple chutney and candied yams, all the way to a grilled whole turkey with signature wild boar stuffing and cranberry sauce.

Reservations need to be made at least three days in advance.

4. Blue Butcher & Meat Specialist

If you are looking for the classic Thanksgiving dinner, look no further than Blue.

The festive menu (HK$650 per person) will feature a few of their starters and sides, with their free range Hunter Valley turkey (semi-deboned) with cranberry sauce and gravy, along with their home-made turkey sage stuffing as a highlight.

Dessert is a delightful home-made nutty milk chocolate brioche bread pudding.

All turkeys must be ordered at least 24 hours in advance, and only a limited number are served each day.

5. Porterhouse

Those who opt to feast with their family and friends at Porterhouse will be able to choose from two different Thanksgiving menu options.

With starters, seafood, sausages and their roasted whole organic turkey, the sharing feast (HK$888 per person) requires a minimum of eight guests, and must be ordered five days in advanced.

The other option is a five-course Thanksgiving set dinner (HK$588 per person) for which bookings need to be made three days in advance.

6. Limewood

Seaside restaurant Limewood is bringing a festive menu (HK$650 per person) that is a fusion of Southeast Asia, Hawaiian, South American and Caribbean flavours to the table.

Guests can look forward to a non-traditional Thanksgiving celebration. Turkey of course will be on the menu, but must be ordered 24 hours in advance.

7. Jamie’s Italian

If you have a group of 6-8 people, why not head to Jamie’s Italian for their family-style Thanksgiving group set lunch or dinner (HK$1,950).

With a festive meat plank and a whole roasted turkey that is marinated overnight with herbs and spices and served alongside cranberry sauce and gravy, this seems to be the hearty group holiday meal to enjoy.

8. Bostonian Seafood & Grill

For an intimate four-course Thanksgiving meal at The Langham Hotel’s Bostonian Seafood and Grill (HK$688 per person), you can enjoy their classic roasted US tom turkey, with decadent a pecan nut, chocolate and maple syrup tart for dessert.

9. Wolfgang’s Steakhouse

Wolfgang’s Steakhouse, which opened last year, offers meat lovers amazing steaks and dining options. For this Thanksgiving, its dinner feast (HK$628 per person) includes a soup and salad as starters, followed by a choice between the restaurant's signature New York sirloin, or its more traditional sous vide turkey as the main dish, with different sides to share. The dinner ends with a delicious pecan pie dessert. Reservations in advance are required.

TAKEAWAY

If you are planning on having a house party but do not want to do any of the heavy lifting, here are some takeaway options you can consider.

1. Main St. Deli 

The turkey-to-go from Main St. Deli features a roasted US tom turkey with house stuffing, delivered in a wood grain carton box. It comes in two sizes, one that feeds up to 10 people (HK$2,138), and one that feeds up to 20 people (HK$3,588). You can also request to have the turkey sliced.

2. Burger Circus

Some say dessert is the most important part of the feast, and Burger Circus is offering up their festive nine-inch pumpkin pie (HK$188) and pumpkin pie milkshakes ($78) throughout the month.

Busy in the kitchen and do not want to pick up your order? No problem, delivery can be arranged through the Black Sheep Restaurants’ GO app.

3. Porterhouse

The takeaway package at Porterhouse (HK$2,838) is ideal for a party of eight, and includes a roasted pumpkin, a 6kg whole roasted organic turkey and sides of brussel sprouts with crispy bacon, mashed potato, French beans, a garlic and chilli-sautéed spinach, with a home-made pumpkin and pecan pie.

For those who just want a whole cooked turkey to take away, Porterhouse offers up their traditional organic turkey (HK$888) and the deluxe truffle turkey (HK$1088).

4. Big Sur

A turkey that is flown in from the Norbest Ranch in Utah is on offer this Thanksgiving at Big Sur Beer & Barbecue. The Thanksgiving takeaway menu (HK$1,600) includes a whole turkey, stuffing, sides and a pie, and is suitable for 6-8 guests.

Also available for dine-in at Big Sur on Staunton Street.
